Now Go Tell Others
By Grace Benson
“Miss Grace, I wanted to thank you for your class!” Aliyah tugged on my sleeve as my partner and I were leaving the classroom. “If you had never told me about the importance of forgiving, I never could have been free from holding grudges and make friends again!” Her bright smile beamed up at me.
“You know, Aliyah, I never would have known about the importance of forgiveness and the freedom it brings if someone hadn’t told me first. Now that you have learned about it, you can go share the message with others!” I told her.
“Oh!” She exclaimed, wonder and excitement written all over her face. How precious to see yet another soul inspired to give as she has received!
“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2
185 Things to be Grateful About
By Grace Benson
Twenty five pairs of eyes strained to see what was happening. Sand spilled everywhere and the entire class of third graders gasped. Our prayers for connecting with the class were answered.
We challenged the students to write a list of all the things they were grateful for. It was everyone for himself to see who could write the longest list. The race was on!
Stopping by the classroom later on to meet with the teacher, a touching sight met my eyes. All over the room, the students were diligently recording notes on various forms of paper.
“Look, Miss Grace!” one girl called. “I already have 25 things!”
One week later, I had the joy of rewarding one of the students in that class for her list of 185 things she was grateful for.
Praise the Lord for His blessing on the class and all the gifts He gives us every day!
I am incredibly grateful to God for my family. I don’t know what life would be like if I lived without even one of them. They’re encouraging and uplifting, and are amazing examples of what Christians should be. I am very blessed.
God is so very good to me! I am grateful for His mercy that is new every morning. Even when I fail He does not leave me alone to pick up the pieces. He corrects, encourages, and leads me where I should go.
I am so grateful for the friends that God has placed in my life! Each person has touched my life in a significant way by serving Christ with all their heart! Their example encourages and inspires me to draw closer to God and deepen my relationship with Him. I am so blessed to have them pointing me in the right direction!
I’m really thankful for the opportunities God gives us to serve Him. He didn’t have to use us, and yet He allows us to be part of accomplishing His work here on earth by sharing the gospel, encouraging other believers, and being faithful in the little tasks He calls us to. What an awesome privilege.
At the top of my list for things to be grateful for is God’s sovereignty. Because He is sovereign, I know He is in control 100% of the time over 100% of His creation, including matter, space, time, and events. Because He is sovereign, He can make His promises sure guarantees. Because He is sovereign, I know I can trust Him.
I am so thankful for the kids God has allowed me to serve here in OKC. Each week at Bible Club I see so many faces, so many hearts that are wanting to know God, and so many individuals that represent more then one person. Time seems to go so quickly over the hour and a half I get to spend with them! I am overwhelmed with joy knowing that I get to be apart of sharing God’s Truth and love with them!
I am grateful for the Word of God. We are so blessed in this country to have the freedom to read, believe, and follow the principles of the Bible. The most amazing part is that it is 100% true! It’s the letter from the Creator to the created.
I am grateful that God’s forgiveness is not His only free gift. God’s…
Peace, “let your requests be made known…and the peace of God…will keep your hearts”
Strength, “My strength is made perfect in weakness”
Joy, “You will make me full of joy in Your presence.”
Sufficiency, “our sufficiency is of God, Who also hath made us able ministers”
Wisdom, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, Who giveth”
and Love for others “the Lord make you to increase and abound in love…toward all”
…are just as available to us! They require no more effort or striving than salvation did.
Why? “God gets the glory and we get the good.” -Tom Harmon
“Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing…to the praise of His glory”
I am so grateful for family and friends that Love the Lord! I just can’t get over how blessed each one of us are to be alive in a time such as this. So many opportunities so many needs and so much room to see God work through people, I am so grateful he is willing to use weak vessels like me!
I can’t get over how God decided to use me; how He put special people, places, and situations in my life to teach, lead, and train…and then all the amazing opportunities He creates and gives to me! I am so grateful that God cares and has a special purpose for everyone.
