“When I was younger, my grandma asked me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I responded, “A missionary!” I assumed my ministry would be overseas. After all, America is a Christian nation, right? It wasn’t until I came to In The Gap as a student and went into the public schools that I realized how little the children know about Christ. I didn’t have to go overseas, learn a different language, and try to understand a new culture to be able to share the gospel with people who had never heard about Jesus before.

I went to Operation Impact in 2016 and it changed my life. I was stretched out of my comfort zone in a way that brought me to a place of surrendering to Christ and asking Him to work through my weaknesses. I also experienced the most amazing culture of Christians who were so focused on Jesus. Now I get to help coordinate Operation Impact, and it is my desire to see young people grow in their faith as they watch God work in and through them.”
