Bill and Patty Saunders
Bill serves as our Campus Ministry Developer. He works to develop the In the Gap campus into an even more useful facility.
Patty has a passion to disciple and share the Good News with others. She also desires to teach them how to follow and obey all that Jesus has commanded us (Matthew 28:19-20). She is excited to be serving with the team in a variety of ways.
“I was born in Minnesota and my wife Patty was born in Honduras. I met Patty when I went on a Mission’s trip to Honduras in 1997, and a year later we got married. God has blessed us with four children, Daniel, William, Hope and Ruthmarie.
I (Bill) was raised in a Christian home. When I was 7 years old, my Mom led me to receive Jesus as my Savior at a Good News club that she was running in our neighborhood. I still remember the joy I had when I received Jesus as my Savior. Sadly, I walked away from God and stopped going to church when I left for college.
It took 8 years and a lot of pain to bring me back to God and His ways; when my heart was broken, God opened my eyes and I saw how I had never given my whole heart to Him. That very day I gave God my whole heart and my life has never been the same. God has placed in my heart a desire and a passion to encourage people to grow closer to God and to serve Him with all of their hearts.
Patty and I are so excited that God is giving us the opportunity to be part of In The Gap; a ministry that challenges young people to love God with all their hearts, to seek first the Kingdom of God, and to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey All Jesus has commanded us.
We want to help our children and other young people to become ‘World Changers’ and not become changed by the world. We are looking forward to serving together as a family at In The Gap.”
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” ~Deuteronomy 6:5-7
