Our Vision
In The Gap exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip upcoming generations to pursue moral excellence, whole-heartedly stand for what is right, and to become positive role models who will transform our community, state, and nation for generations to come.
Hands of the Future
“When a boy or girl thrusts their small hand into yours, it may be smeared with chocolate ice cream or grimy from petting a dog; and there may be a wart under the right thumb or a bandage around a little finger. But most importantly, these little hands are the hands of the future. They are the hands that someday may hold a Bible, or a Colt revolver; play the church piano, or spin a gambling wheel; gently dress a leper’s wound, or tremble wretchedly, uncontrolled because of an alcoholic mind. Right now that hand reaches out for YOURS. It asks for help and guidance. It represents a full-fledged personality in miniature to be respected as a separate individual whose day-by-day growth in Christian adulthood is your responsibility.”
Our Goal
We desire that the children we work with see Christ not only in our words, but in our everyday actions. By teaching character lessons and actively sharing Christ in after school clubs, we are equipping upcoming generations to pursue moral excellence, wholeheartedly stand for what is right, and become positive role models. We recognize the importance of helping children understand truth early on so they can be effective throughout their lives. Our vision is to help them now so they’re prepared for life in the ways that really matter. This nation’s next generation of leaders and officials are being cultured right now. Therefore, we want to teach them to stand on a foundation of truth. To think with reason, and to make choices that are going to positively transform our community, state, and nation for generations to come.
