There is an all-out battle for the hearts and minds of young people. Every day, children are being shaped—by voices, values, and influences that often pull them away from truth, hope, and purpose. The question is not whether children are being discipled, but by whom.
In The Gap exists because we believe the Church must step into this moment with clarity and courage. Our mission is to unite the Body of Christ to ensure that every child has an opportunity to hear the gospel and be discipled in God’s ways. We partner with local churches and like-minded ministries to collectively reach children with Bible-centered teaching—meeting them where they are and planting seeds of truth while hearts are still open and receptive.
This is a mission field we can’t afford to ignore!
Research shows that 50% of a child’s belief system is established by age 6, and 90% is established by the time a child turns 13 years old. Now is the time to advance and impact this generation for Christ! Since approximately 75% of children do not attend church on a regular basis, we cannot wait for children to come to us. We must bring the gospel to them.

Operation Impact is a high-intensity, life-changing summer missions experience for Christian students ages 14 and up who want to step out of the stands and into the mission of God.
This isn’t just about learning how to teach a lesson.
It’s about becoming the kind of leader who carries the gospel with courage, clarity, and compassion.

You Know My Name?
One of my classes on Wednesday was particularly challenging—a class full of hyper second-graders who needed a lot of hands-on activities to stay engaged. Four of the boys acted especially crazy, and if the teacher walked out while we were teaching, they went berzerk....

A highlight of this week: getting to spend time in prayer with passionate, caring leaders from around our city — pastors, city officials, medical professionals, and many others who want the next generation to know the love of Christ. We even had a visiting pastor from India join in with us!
Thank you to Bethany Children`s Health Center for being such good hosts, and to The Cedar Gate for providing lunch for us!

We would love to have you join us for a community prayer event to pray for children in Walters and the surrounding communities. We will spend time praying for children at their school, in their families, and for their future.
This prayer night will be held at the Church of the Nazarene at 6:30pm on Thursday, April 16th. In the comments is an RSVP link to let us know you`re coming. There will be light snacks and drinks provided.

We always love seeing our alumni get together for fellowship... and especially in ways that further God`s kingdom!
Last year, Analisa Bean, an In The Gap alumni, started a Bible Club near her hometown in Illinois — and a few of our Operation Impact alumni who live nearby also volunteer there on a weekly basis. But last week, several more OI alumni from South Carolina, Illinois, and Oklahoma gathered there for a mini-reunion and jumped in to help the local team teach God’s Word to the children!
It was a huge encouragement to the local team and a great time of fellowship for our alumni. We`re looking forward to seeing many of you again at Operation Impact this summer — the early registration deadline is March 30!

We had so much fun taking our whole team to the @childrensministryexpo_tulsa this past weekend! It was great to meet so many people who are passionate about reaching children and are hungry for training and resources to help them be more effective in their ministry.
One of the highlights was giving away 5 prize bundles full of great books, toys, teaching tools, gift cards and other goodies!

It was so incredible to meet with believers from all over OKC and share the vision of bringing God’s Word into schools through after-school Bible Clubs!
We were so encouraged to see more than 11 different churches were represented! Please pray as people begin to consider the ways they might be able to serve in this mission — and that God`s kingdom would be expanded greatly through them!

This weekend was a huge answer to prayer! For years we`ve had the desire to launch a Bible Clubs in Duncan, OK — and here`s the amazing team of volunteers that will be leading the charge for the first elementary school in the Duncan area!
We`re especially excited because several of our alumni from #OperationImpact will be serving in key roles, using the skills & experience they gained over the summer and committing to reach children in their own hometown — throughout the school year!

We are looking forward to attending Unshakeable again this year! This event is geared to help encourage and strengthen teenagers and young adults as they engage with the culture.
We will be hosting a breakout called "Avoid Decision Fatigue: 3 Ways to Gain Clarity for Your Future." The purpose of this breakout is to help teenagers and young adults gain tools on how to use their gifts and talents to further Christ`s Kingdom here on earth.

We drove out to Canton, Oklahoma to train a group that is getting ready to launch a Bible Club in January!
Some of the team shared how they have seen firsthand how crucial it is for children to have a biblical foundation laid even before entering the youth group age. Even the pastor came to faith in Christ through a ministry to his own children (stay tuned to hear more of his story soon)!
Please be praying for them as they work out the final details before they launch!
