There is an all-out battle for the hearts and minds of young people. Every day, children are being shaped—by voices, values, and influences that often pull them away from truth, hope, and purpose. The question is not whether children are being discipled, but by whom.
In The Gap exists because we believe the Church must step into this moment with clarity and courage. Our mission is to unite the Body of Christ to ensure that every child has an opportunity to hear the gospel and be discipled in God’s ways. We partner with local churches and like-minded ministries to collectively reach children with Bible-centered teaching—meeting them where they are and planting seeds of truth while hearts are still open and receptive.
This is a mission field we can't afford to ignore!
Research shows that 50% of a child's belief system is established by age 6, and 90% is established by the time a child turns 13 years old. Now is the time to advance and impact this generation for Christ! Since approximately 75% of children do not attend church on a regular basis, we cannot wait for children to come to us. We must bring the gospel to them.

Operation Impact is a high-intensity, life-changing summer missions experience for Christian students ages 14 and up who want to step out of the stands and into the mission of God.
This isn’t just about learning how to teach a lesson.
It’s about becoming the kind of leader who carries the gospel with courage, clarity, and compassion.

It was a privilege to host training today for the children’s ministry workers at @iglesiadediosunited! We are so grateful for the incredible ministry they have and for their desire to be equipped to invest in and disciple the children of their community.

We visited downtown El Reno for a prayer meeting last night to pray for the children of the area!
It`s wonderful seeing the body of Christ from multiple churches come together to intercede for the next generation.
Please be praying for that community — that every child will have access to God`s Word and hear the gospel!

Scotland shared about Christ and His bride, the Church. We discussed Scriptures that say who we are without Christ and contrasted those with Scriptures sharing who we are in Christ. We were reminded that God is the One who cleanses and prepares us — it`s not anything that we can do in our own strength.
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved..." -Ephesians 2:4-5

We were so grateful to have Jake Merrick come and remind us of the power of walking in obedience.
He shared several personal testimonies of how he`s seen God`s faithfulness and provision as he and his wife have clung to God`s promises and chosen to obey — even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Sometimes things don`t make sense or we don`t "feel" ready to do what we`re called to do. Jake reminded us that, "You won`t be ready when you start — faith is developed in the journey. God`s not going to ask you to start something without finishing it."
