I work with one of the best story tellers at In The Gap, Elizabeth H.  Whenever a story comes up in our planning, guess who I want to tell it?  Her!  Not me!  Nope!  Her!  But this Sunday, she asked if I would like to tell the Canadian Goose story to our classes.  It would have to be exciting enough to keep the attention of 1st-6th grade.

Elizabeth gave me a few tips, and, very kindly, nudged me to tell the story.  I finally agreed, but I was a little nervous.  It was a little bit out of my comfort zone to tell a story to sixth graders. Monday morning arrived, and I was so very tired!  I didn’t want to go into class.  I was exhausted, but I prayed and asked the Lord to give me strength.  And that’s a prayer He has never failed to answer in my life!

Sixth grade was our first class.  The Lord gave me a huge amount of energy!  I was able to tell the story, and I could tell by their faces that they were listening, if not even enjoying the story!  I felt like I was able to connect with that class like I never had before.  And throughout the rest of the day, I had just enough energy to do what needed done!

God is so good!  He never gives us more than He is able to handle!  Praise the Lord that He never asks me to do something He won’t help me do!
