“Friday was a day that I probably will not forget. I woke up tired and exhausted that morning, scrambled around, trying to get ready for school and wake up. Since I was recovering from a cold that weekend, my voice would go in and out. My teaching partner was in the same condition, having also been sick that week. Teaching in the classrooms at [school] that morning was really hard, but not because of my lack of voice. God used that morning to show me a blind spot in my life that was hindering my partner and I from effectively teaching the kids. It was this: I was talking too fast, and my teaching partner and the kids could not understand what I was saying. God gave me His grace to get through that morning. I was worn out when I [returned from school]. But the day was not over yet for me.
Friday afternoon is our smallest Bible Club – about 4-18 kids attend. That afternoon I was helping coordinate the Bible Club large group. The spiritual warfare that day was strong and all of us that were going to Bible Club were exhausted. Danell, who was telling the Bible story about Adam & Eve and sin, prayed in the car that God would use the story to bring at least one child to salvation. We arrived at the school and got all ready for club. Nine kids came to club that day. The songs, memory verse, and the Bible story went well. Danell gave an invitation. By the end of that club, five kids asked Jesus to be their Savior. It was so amazing to see God work, even through our weakness!!!” ~Elisa
