temperatures, and lack of trees. It was a stark contrast to where I was born and raised in Western PA, but God quickly began changing my focus from surroundings to people.
I am blessed with two godly parents, and an older sister who is my only sibling and best friend. My
family, along with my pastor and church family, exemplified Christian service and faithfulness to God through their lives. Through this I developed a burden at a young age to work with children and share Christ with them.
In The Gap’s training equipped me by developing my skills in lesson planning and teaching. As I spent time
with the children here, God began to open my eyes to their needs. He showed me broken families,
hurting hearts, deep fear, confusion, and lies. He also showed me that He has the answer for each of
For the ministry here in Oklahoma City, I pray that God would send people to work with these children. Luke 10:2 says, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the
harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” For those of us serving here in Oklahoma
City, my prayer is that God would continue to open our eyes and give us a burden to share His amazing
love and truth with each child who walks across our path.”
